VeriLAN Wins National Wireless Contracts

IEEE 802 the standards-setting body for the wireless industry is one of three new VeriLAN clients

Portland, OR October 18, 2005 VeriLAN will design, build and deploy wireless networks to three new clients: IEEE 802, WiMAX Forum and ZigBee Alliance. For these contracts, VeriLAN will provide Just-in-Time wireless solutions temporary, high-speed wireless Internet access at global events and trade shows. These networks are purpose-built to operate in extremely challenging, high-use environments with thousands of simultaneous users on multiple broadband applications including Internet, video and Voice over IP (VoIP).

IEEE 802
VeriLAN will offer Event Services to the world's largest international standards-setting organization for wireless networks IEEE 802. At nine global events through 2006, VeriLAN will design, install and deploy wireless networking. In November 2005 VeriLAN will manage networking for their Vancouver, British Columbia event where 1,650 attendees are expected. IEEE 802 creates standards for local and metropolitan area network wireless including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and WiMAX.

WiMAX Forum
At WiMAX Forum's four global conferences, VeriLAN will provide wireless networking services. The next event will be held in Beijing, China in November 2005 and will host at least 400 attendees. WiMAX Forum is a non-profit organization established to ensure the compatibility and interoperability of broadband wireless equipment.

ZigBee Alliance
For 2005-2006, VeriLAN will offer Event Services for up to 17 global ZigBee events. The next event will be held in Hong Kong in December 2005 with an anticipated attendance of 1000. ZigBee Alliance is an association of companies working to provide consumers with technological ease by building wireless capabilities into everyday devices.
